To provide a washing machine capable of preventing corrosion of a washing/spin-drying tub caused by electrolyzed water.
At a junction of a side plate 105 of a washing/spin-drying tub 104 and an opening plate 106 of the washing/spin-drying tub 104 and/or at a junction of the side plate 105 and a bottom plate 107 of the washing/spin-drying tub 104, or in the vicinity of the junction, an anticorrosive member made of metal that is greater in ionization tendency than the washing/spin-drying tub is disposed so as to be in contact with the washing/spin-drying tub 104. Accordingly, when the washing/spin-drying tub 104 is immersed in electrolyzed water, preferential elution of the metal greater in ionization tendency than the washing/spin-drying tub 104 occurs, so that corrosion of the washing/spin-drying tub 104 can be prevented.
