To provide a water catchment structure of a closed conduit, which can easily and quickly recover from clogging and can maintain water permeability for a long period of time, and to provide a method of recovering a water catchment function of the water catchment structure of the closed conduit.
The water catchment structure of the closed conduit is configured by connecting a water supply means and an air supply means. The water supply means is a water supply device for supplying high pressure water to a porous pipe by jetting the high pressure water from holes of the porous pipe to flush fine particles clogged in the holes when a filter layer is clogged, while forming a core water line around the porous pipe. The air supply means is an air supply device for supplying high pressure air to the porous pipe for flowing out fine grained soil adhering to the filter layer around the water line formed by jetting the high pressure water through a bubbling action of the air jetted from the holes of the porous pipe. By the supply of the high pressure water and the high pressure air, an area in which the fine grained soil does not exist is expanded, so as to recover the water catchment function of the whole area above the porous pipe.
