Abstract:
To obtain a water leakage preventive material applicable to construction joints or junctions of buildings to be seriously damaged by water leakage without taking much time and labor for construction, and to provide a method for preventing water leakage.
This water leakage preventive material comprises impregnating a sponge-like material with a composition which contains a highly water absorptive polymer, an alkylene glycol derivative having repeating units comprising two or more carbons, a gelling agent for the highly water absorptive polymer and, preferably, a stabilizer for organic compounds.
