Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-lubricated bearing or a water-lubricated seal reduced in a coefficient of friction and improved in wear resistance.
SOLUTION: A water-lubricated bearing or a water-lubricated seal is provided with a rotating side member directly or indirectly fixed to the rotating side, and a fixed side member directly or indirectly fixed to the fixed side and opposedly brought into sliding contact with the rotating side member. Base material of the rotating side member and fixed side member is to be a metallic material, and a titanium nitride (TiN) film is formed on one sliding face, while a diamond-like carbon(DLC) film, a chromium nitride (CrN) film, carbon fiber contained polyether ether ketone (PEEK) or carbon fiber contained tetrafluoro- ethylene resin (PTFE) is formed on the other sliding face.
