Abstract:

PURPOSE: To increase strength by using artificial aggregates having high sphericity and mainly made of coal ash as the coarse aggregates of concrete constituting a water-permeable pavement body.

CONSTITUTION: Cement, silica fume, plaster, and calcium aluminate are mixed at the ratio of 50wt.% or below against coal ash to prepare the raw material powder. Water of 20-35 pts.wt. is added and mixed to the raw material powder of 100 pts.wt., a mixture is granulated by a pan type granulating machine, and grains are steam-cured at the normal pressure for 5-15hr at 60-80° to form artificial aggregates. The artificial aggregates are used as coarse aggregates to form a water-permeable concrete pavement body.
