Abstract:
To provide a dry water stopping material which has good workability and can stop water completely, even if the surface of the material is rough or uneven, and to provide a water stopping method.
The invention is the water stopping material comprising a hydrophobic fiber having a diameter of 20 μ or less and a bulk density of 0.02-0.30 g/cm3 or the composite water stopping material with rubber or a soft plastic, the bulk density of the material being 0.2 g/cm3 or more in the compressed state used in a space.
