Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waveform recording apparatus with a similar image retrieval function allowing retrieval of similar waveforms and the like by comparing measured waveforms, without previously setting retrieval conditions.SOLUTION: The waveform recording apparatus includes: an input unit 2; a display section 6 colorfully displaying measurement waveforms obtained with measurement data fetched from the input unit 2; a control unit 4 processing the measurement data in a predetermined manner; and an operational unit 3 issuing predetermined instructions including a similar image retrieval instruction to the control unit 4. The control unit 4 executes repeated measurements with a specific measurement range determined by the operational unit 3 as one waveform file, creates a color histogram from color information on measured waveforms of each waveform file and store the histogram into a storage unit, compares a color histogram of an original waveform with a color histogram of another waveform to determine the similarity therebetween if the waveform file of the original waveform as a reference is selected by the operational unit 3 at the similar image retrieval, and displays a waveform similar to the original waveform in the screen of the display unit 6 based on the similarity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
