Abstract:
PURPOSE:To detect the maximum value and the minimum value of a signal by an inexpensive constitution by providing a means for distributing digital data to plural digital data, plural pairs of comparators and a detecting means, etc. CONSTITUTION:An analog/digital converter 23 converts the instantaneous value of an analog signal into the digital data and outputs it. A distributor 36 outputs two data of the first half to the comparator 25 and two data of the latter half to the comparator 28 at the time of fetching four data, thereby distributing the four data every time they are fetched. The comparators 25 and 28 output the compared results, and the comparators 31 and 32 compare and output the data to digital peak detectors 33 and 34 when the distributor 36 outputs the next four data. The detectors 33 and 34 respectively detect the maximum value and the minimum value of an input signal according to the data from the comparators 31 and 32 output it to a memory 35 when the distributor 36 outputs third four data. Therefore, the action speed of the detectors 33 and 34 becomes 1/4 of the action speed of the A/D converter 23 and the device is constituted of an inexpensive circuit.
