To present display useful for a user to determine access to a web document in search results.
In a search result presenting system, a search mediating device receives and stores search words transmitted from a user terminal (S01). A web search device searches the web documents including the search words transmitted at S01 and acquires a summary sentence including the search result and the search words (S02). A search result configuration device transmits the received data at S02 to a document image search device and requests a reading image (S03). A document image search device creates the reading image with highlighting a range corresponding to the summary sentence in a web document image (S04). A search result configuration device, if there are several highlights in the reading image, configures the summary in a switchable manner according to selection of the highlights and creates a final search result (S05). The search result is transmitted to the user terminal (S06).
