Abstract:
PURPOSE:To avoid the mistake in the weft-inserting operations even in high speed weaving, by controlling the weft insertion at the controller by the detection signals from the shedding sensor on the actual shed of the warp and the preset programs. CONSTITUTION:In the course where the warp 4 shifts from the shed shown with the dotted chain line to the maximum shed, the warp comes to the point crossing the one of the upper edge 11 and lower edge 12 of the air guide, for example, the low edge 12, which is extended in the extension direction of the weft 9 on the cloth fell side 8 of the reed 5, and the shed sensor 1 detects that the actual shed can accept warp inserting. Then, the detection signals are input to the controller and the controller drives and controls the waft-inserting mechanism by the detecting signals and the preset programs whereby the weft inserting operation is optimally controlled without expansion of the existing area acceptable to weft insertion.
