Abstract:
To provide a wet type nonwoven fabric including a polyphenylene sulfide fiber which hardly causes broken paper when produced by wet type papermaking method and has excellent chemical resistance.SOLUTION: The wet type nonwoven fabric including a PPS fiber is characterized by consisting of only a polyphenylene sulfide fiber, including a polyphenylene sulfide fiber having a variant cross section and a polyphenylene sulfide fiber having a circular cross section with a diameter of the fiber of 5 μm or under, and having a basis weight of 8 g/mor more and 200 g/mor under, wherein the content of the polyphenylene sulfide fiber having a circular cross section with a diameter of the fiber being 5 μm or under is 5 mass% or more and 70 mass% or under with respect to the total fiber mass.SELECTED DRAWING: None
