To improve robustness and reliability of a wheelchair that has a function to assist a user's standing-up by pulling up a rear end part of a seat surface with a belt attached to a backrest part.

One end part of a belt 4 joined to a rear end part of a sear surface 1 is wound around half a periphery of a rod-like member 2 attached to an upper part of a backrest part almost horizontally, then is joined to a lever 5 that has a fulcrum of a lower part of the seat surface, and the belt 1 is pulled up by operation of a joint part of the lever 5 and the belt 1. The horizontal rod-like member 2 is joined to a vertical rod-like member 3 supporting the backrest part by using a joint member separately adjusted. It is prevented that the joint member moves by body weight given onto the seat surface 1 with a stopper 14 separately adjusted.
