To provide a holder having no additional holder spring by adding spring function to a holder as a set fitting section of a whip antenna and by being integrated with a spring.
The whip antenna is included in a portable electric device, and it is provided with a first sleeve which is suitable for the chip end of the antenna body formed of a resin pipe covering wires, and a second sleeve suitable for the base part of the antenna body. The antenna is engaged with a holder secured to the enclosure of the portable electric device. When the antenna is pulled out, the second sleeve is held by the holder, and when it is housed, the first sleeve is held by the holder. The holder is provided with a tongue-like contact piece, which is formed by notching a metal plate member, and the metal plate member is made cylindrical.
