Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make the characters and figures written and drawn on the bottom surface of a semitransparent original easy to see when said original is placed on the original insertion plate (shelf) of a copying machine by forming the top surface of said shelf into a white color.

CONSTITUTION: When white painting is applied on the top surface of a shelf 2, the characters and figures of a semitransparent original 4 placed on the shelf 2 are visible through the original and the original 4 can be inserted into an insertion port 3 in the correct direction. If the top surface of the shelf 2 is made of a white translucent member and a light source is installed below, the characters and figures of the original drawn in plain paper are visible through the same even when the original is placed with the rear side up.
