PURPOSE: To realize good transfer operation in such a manner where transverse shifting of a metal foil may not be generated by reversing operation, both sides of the surface can be freely inspected and movable screens may be dropped while being wound, by constituting of a guide roller driving mechanism and a reversing mechanism to reverse a fixed screen and the right and the left movable screens together by 180°.
CONSTITUTION: A wide metal foil holding and reversing transfer device 1 is provided with a fixed screen 6 whose sectional area is larger than that of a metal foil, a left movable screen 7 which is wound around a left guide roller 9 which rolls along the fixed screen 6, and a right movable screen 8 which is wound around a right guide roller 10 which rolls along the fixed screen 6. The device 1 is constituted of guide roller driving mechanisms 11, 12 which move a left guide roller 9 and a right guide roller 10 to open/close the right and the left movable screens 7, 8, in the mutually approaching direction or in the going-away direction and a reversing mechanism 5 to reverse the fixed screen 6, the right and the left movable screens 7, 8 together by 180°.
