This winding unit is constituted so that in capturing work of the yarn end, a contact member 64 regulates the distance between the suction port 50a and the surface of the package P by contacting a capturing pipe 50. Thus, in the capturing work of the yarn end, the capturing pipe 50 improves a turning speed to the package P, and prevents the suction port 50a from colliding with the package P. Since the winding unit is constituted so that a contact position F of contacting the contact member 64 and the capturing pipe 50 can be changed by a contact member adjusting motor 58, the distance between the surface of the package P and the suction port 50a can be maintained at the proper distance A for performing the capturing work of the yarn end.
