To provide a wire storing device for storing a wire wound up by a winch device into a vessel without scattering it over ground.
The wire storing device comprises a cylindrical vessel 3 of which upper part for storing the wire is opened, an oscillating conduit 5 that is sagged oscillatably about the part from the central upper part to the upper end of the vessel 3 and of which lower end lies in the vessel 3, and a guide conduit 7 for guiding the wire inserted from a connection part 29 to the winch device into it to the oscillating conduit 5. Thanks to this constitution, the wire discharged from the lower end of the oscillating conduit is pressed onto the inner surface of the vessel, and therefore the oscillating conduit oscillates about the upper end. The wire discharged into the vessel by the oscillation of the oscillating conduit, even when the bending curl or deformation forces the wire to move the wire, is simply pressed onto the inner surface of the side wall of the vessel. The wire does not move upward and does not come out of the vessel, and is stored in the vessel.
