To bring out the performance of a Woods valve using a seal rubber to the maximum extent by allowing tightly fastening an attaching screw and by inhibiting pressure from concentrating on the seal rubber even when the attaching screw is tightly fastened, and to eliminate loosening and fear of tampering by tightly fastening the attaching screw with tools.
The Woods valve has a construction in which a filling valve with the seal rubber is inserted into a valve tube portion attached to a tube and the filling valve is secured by the attaching screw threadably engaged with a screw on the periphery of a valve tube mouth. In the Woods valve, an engagement means for engaging with the valve tube portion 12 to control an insertion amount of the filling valve 15 is provided between the valve tube mouth 14 and the filling valve 15 and a screwing limit of the attaching screw 25 is defined by the engagement means so that the valve tube mouth 14 and the attaching screw can be tightly fastened without excessively pressing the seal rubber 18.
