Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wrapping machine which enables a user to know the amount of the remainder of an original roll being used, (remaining time and the like).
SOLUTION: A fourth drive motor 40 is connected to an original roll 15, a bandlike film 16 is fed out by rotating the original roll in a specific direction, and it is led to a bag-making machine 18. In the case, a second distance- measuring device 53 for measuring the length of the arc of the original roll is attached to the rotary shaft 43 of the original roll, and a first distance- measuring device 51, which is movable, is provided in a particular part of the place where the bandlike film is drawn out. The fourth drive motor is rotated for a fixed length of time, the arc length and movement distance of the rotary shaft at the time are measured by the corresponding measuring devices, they are sent to a roll-diameter calculation part 55, and a roll diameter R is found from both the data and the diameter of the rotary shaft. In a remainder calculation part 48, the number of the turns of the original roll is found from the roll diameter and a film thickness, a film length is found from it, further, remaining time is obtained from the film length and the speed of the movement of the bandlike film, and it is shown on a display device 49.
