To provide a yarn storage device, a spinning unit and a spinning machine, that can control the movement of the yarn end of spun yarn when the spun yarn is cut, by orderly winding the spun yarn on a yarn storage roller.
The yarn storage roller 51 provided in the yarn storage device has a yarn storage part 52 wound with the spun yarn Y, a first tapered part 58 expanding at a first inclination θ1 to the yarn feeder side from a base end part 52a of the yarn storage part 52, and a second tapered part 59 expanding at a second inclination θ2 smaller than the first inclination θ1 to the yarn feeder side from the first tapered part 58. The second tapered part 59 has the function of receiving the introduced spun yarn Y and the function of restraining the yarn end of the spun yarn Y swayed around on the base end part 52a side from moving to the tip part side of the yarn storage part 52 when cutting the spun yarn Y. The first tapered part 58 has the function of guiding the spun yarn Y received by the second tapered part 59 to the base end part 52a.
