PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality determination device and an abnormality determination method capable of detecting an abnormality of a driving system including a motor.SOLUTION: An abnormality determination device 12 includes: a swing signal transmission unit 30 that transmits a swing signal Os for causing a rotational axis of a servomotor 24 to swing and rotate with a predetermined pattern to a motor control unit 20 that controls a servomotor; a measurement unit 32 that measures a physical amount Ps that indicates a state of the servomotor 24 when the rotational axis of the servomotor 24 is swung; a comparison unit 34 that compares a measurement signal Ms for the measured physical amount Ps with a reference signal Ss; and an abnormality determination unit 36 that determines an abnormality in a driving system 10, which includes the servomotor 24 and the motor control unit 20 and ranges from a driving target 28 driven by the servomotor 24 to the motor control unit 20, on the basis of a comparison result from the comparison unit 34.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
