Abstract:
To provide an absolute encoder with which it is possible to reduce the influence of leakage flux on a magnetic sensor.SOLUTION: An absolute encoder 100-1 includes a worm gear 1d that rotates in accordance with the rotation of a main shaft, and a permanent magnet 9. The absolute encoder 100-1 includes a magnetic sensor 40, and a worm wheel 2a that engages with the worm gear 1d. The absolute encoder 100-1 includes a worm gear 2b that rotates in accordance with the rotation of the worm wheel 2a, and a worm wheel 5a that engages with the worm gear 2b. The absolute encoder 100-1 includes a permanent magnet 8, and a magnetic sensor 50 for detecting the rotation angle of the worm wheel 5a. The absolute encoder 100-1 includes a flux shield 500 that encloses at least a portion of the periphery of a first drive gear and a second driven gear.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
