To provide an accessory capable of stably communicating with a camera body.SOLUTION: An accessory attachable/detachable to and from a camera body and including a plurality of terminals, comprises: a mounting detection terminal; a first power supply terminal to which a first power supply voltage is supplied from the body; a second power supply terminal to which a second power supply voltage is supplied; a ground terminal; a ready terminal indicating whether it is ready to communicate or not; a first clock terminal to which a first-cycle first clock signal is inputted; a first data terminal to which a synchronized first data signal is inputted; a second data terminal for outputting a synchronized second data signal; a second clock terminal for outputting a second-cycle second clock signal; a third data terminal for outputting a synchronized third data signal; a first circuit part to which the first power supply voltage is supplied; and a second circuit part to which the second power supply voltage is supplied. The ground terminal is used as a ground potential for the first and second circuit parts, and the distance between the second clock terminal and the first power supply terminal is longer than the distance between the first clock terminal and the first power supply terminal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
