Abstract:

To allow for flexible collection of a balance amount.SOLUTION: A cash management device includes: a calculation unit that calculates the determined remaining number of banknotes/coins by denomination and the undetermined remaining number of banknotes/coins by denomination based on the remaining amount of money left in the device as change reserve money, the standard number of banknotes/coins by denomination, and the number of stored banknotes/coins by denomination; an adjustment unit that adds a shortage to the determined remaining number of banknotes/coins of first denomination and adjusts to subtract the number of banknotes/coins of second denomination corresponding to the shortage from the undetermined remaining number of banknotes/coins of the second denomination when the first denomination having the shortage in which the determined remaining number of banknotes/coins does not reach a reference number, and the second denomination having the undermined remaining number of banknotes/coins in which the shortage can be exchanged; and a collection number calculation unit that calculates the number of collected banknotes/coins for each denomination based on the determined remaining number of banknotes/coins by denomination after the adjustment and the undetermined remaining number of banknotes/coins by denomination.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
