Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse transformer that can sufficiently secure the degree of freedom of layout while sufficiently securing primary and secondary dielectric strength voltages.SOLUTION: A flange portion 4A of a drum type core 2 is provided with terminal electrodes P1, N1 and a center tap CT2, and a flange portion 4B of the drum type core 2 is provided with terminal electrodes P2, N2 and a center tap CT1. The terminal electrodes P1, N1 and the center tap CT1 are connected to the terminal electrodes P2, N2 and the center tap CT2 by wires S1 to S4. The drum type core 2 is configured to have the same size in both the X-direction and the Y-direction, so that the planar shape of the drum type core 2 is square. Accordingly, even when the mounting direction of the pulse transformer 1 is rotated by 90°, the shape of the mounting area on a print board does not vary. Therefore, the degree of freedom of layout on the print board can be enhanced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
