Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce equipment cost and installation space and to facilitate chassis dynamometer testing method.
CONSTITUTION: A flywheel 6 is mounted on a roller 3 axis of a chassis dynamometer 2, and inertia is given at acceleration/deceleration of a tested car 4. The flywheel 6 of a constant mass irrespective of the mass of the tested car 4 is mounted on the roller 3 axis, and an acceleration/deceleration time or speed is set according to the ratio of the mass of the tested car 4 to the mass of the flywheel 6.
