Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a conductor for electric wire having electric resistance necessary as a conductor for electric wire such as, for example, a signal line, and having excellent flex resistance and tensile strength.CONSTITUTION: Provided is a conductor for electric wire corresponding to the following (A) or (B): (A) a conductor for electric wire formed by twisting at least one metal wire and a plurality of metal coated fibers; and (B) a conductor for electric wire having a metal wire wound around outside of at least one metal coated fiber. Further, the metal coated fiber is one having a plating underlayer formed on a fiber substrate, and having a metal plating film formed on the plating underlayer by electroless plating, where the plating underlayer comprises on a fiber substrate: a polymeric compound obtained by polymerization of a compound having a heterocycle in an oxidation state on a fiber substrate surface, and a metal which acts as a catalyst which is reduced and adsorbed on a surface of the polymeric compound.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
