PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building board that does not cause an extremely narrow rectangular block pattern to result even when cut for manufacturing an external corner, along with a design method for the building board.SOLUTION: A building board is arranged such that a longitudinal direction thereof is aligned with a right-left direction, and a cutting line perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the building board is provided at a constant interval from an edge of the building to the other edge. With regard to a rectangular block pattern positioned on the cutting line, a length from the cutting line to a right edge and a length from the cutting line to a left edge is longer than a minimum width of the rectangular block pattern arranged on the building board. Furthermore, a design method for the building board measures a length from the cutting line to a right edge and from the cutting line to a left edge of the rectangular block pattern and changes a length in the right-left direction of the rectangular block pattern to keep the length smaller than the minimum width, when the building board has the longitudinal direction thereof aligned with the right-left direction and the cutting line perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the building board is provided at a location with an integral multiple of a length necessary for forming an external corner.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
