Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the inexpensive optical image forming element which has optical length effective image formation width for a roof prism lens array and forms an erect image in the array direction (Y direction) of the array and is uniformly optimized in Y-directional resolving power distribution and light quantity distribution.
CONSTITUTION: The image forming element consists of an array of plural adjacent roof prism lenses each formed by uniting a lens part 1a and a roof-prism part 1b with a right-angled reflecting surface; and reflecting films 2 are formed at the roof prism parts 1b and the outer peripheral parts except lens parts 1a are coated with light shield members 3. Further, roof prism lenses which have reflecting films formed at roof prism parts and light shield members arranged between flank parts almost parallel to the optical axes of lenses between the lens parts and roof prism parts of the roof prism lenses are arrayed.
