Title:
INSTRUMENT FOR MOUNTING ARTIFICIAL TENDON ON CARDIAC VALVE CUSP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2022069246
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To provide a system that with a simple structure, mounts an artificial tendon on a cardiac valve cusp by approach from a cardiac apex part of the heart and restores a deviating valve cusp to enable an artificial tendon reconstruction method in a minimally invasive, easy, and secure manner.SOLUTION: A forceps 1 having a hollow structure in a long axis direction is inserted from a cardiac apex part of the heart into a cardiac lumen to grip a deviating valve cusp tissue. In the hollow structure of the forceps, an artificial tendon having a structure for catching the valve cusp tissue with two plates having back needles, a clip for strengthening fixation to the valve cusp tissue, and a component for assisting attachment of them are inserted into a handle part of the forceps. In the forceps gripping the valve cusp tissue, the artificial tendon with the back needles is guided to the valve cusp tissue and joined to the valve cusp tissue. The plates having the back needles together with the valve cusp tissue are caught by the clip to strengthen fixation of a part joined with the artificial tendon. The forceps and the attachment assisting component are extracted from the cardiac lumen to finish mounting of the artificial tendon.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
