Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a video output technique for improving the visibility of an OSD even when displayed on a display unit and outputted to an external device and suppressing an increase in drawing processing loads.SOLUTION: A video output device according to the present invention comprises: first acquisition means for acquiring a video; second acquisition means for acquiring a superposing screen to be superposed on the video; and output control means for executing a first process for outputting a superposed video in which the whole area of the superposing screen is superposed on the video acquired by the first acquisition means and a second process for outputting a superposed video in which a partial area, narrower than the whole area of the superposing screen, is superposed, after being resized, on the video acquired by the first acquisition means.
