Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a focus detection error, and to enable a quick and highly accurate focusing operation to be performed.SOLUTION: An imaging device includes: an image pickup element (102) including a pixel for focus detection; computing means for, using a pair of signals for focus detection, computing an amount of drive of a focus lens for causing the focus lens to be in a focusing state; focusing control means for performing a focusing control on the basis of the computed amount of drive of the focus lens; acquisition means for acquiring adjustment data for correcting an error arising from characteristics of the imaging device and an imaging optical system from an external information processing device in computing the amount of drive of the focus lens; storage means for storing the adjustment data; calculation means for obtaining adjustment data on the basis of data to be obtained upon computing by the pair of signals for focus detection and the computation means; and update means for updating the adjustment data stored in the storage means with the adjustment data obtained by the calculation means. The focusing control means uses the adjustment data stored in the storage means, and computes the amount of drive of the focus lens.
