PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely and effectively make a drum can harmless.SOLUTION: A method includes the steps of putting a drum can into a rotary kiln with the drum can laid down in a direction in which the drum can does not roll in a travel direction in the rotary kiln, after the drum can is loaded on a carrying platform with the drum can laid down, and treating the drum can at the temperature of 850°C or more.
