Abstract:
To provide, for an inflator that provides inflation fluid to inflate an inflatable vehicle occupant protection device, a filter for filtering particulates from the inflation fluid, for helping to cool the inflation fluid, and for directing the flow path of the inflation fluid.SOLUTION: A filter 100 for an inflator includes a rolled sheet 122 having a center on an axis 112 or three-dimensionally printed as a whole, and including a plurality of openings. A deflector 130 is associated with each opening for directing inflation fluid in a non-radial direction relative to the axis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
