Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine capable of improving fuel efficiency by supplying liquefied gas fuel being pressurized from a fuel tank into a high pressure pump without using a feed pump or an air compressor, and to provide a fuel supply method for the same.SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine includes a fuel circulating system 11 consisting of a circulating injector 12 for injecting and circulating part of high pressure DME after passing through a high pressure pump 7 into a fuel tank 6, and a circulating flow path 13 for guiding part of the high pressure DME after passing through the high pressure pump 7 into the circulating injector 12. It further includes a fuel supply system 8 for supplying the DME pressurized by the circulated DME from the fuel tank 6 directly into the high pressure pump 7.
