Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the utility of a fork lift truck by making it possible to continuously detect the fork lifting positions of the fork lift truck and setting the automatic stop position of a fork at any position.

CONSTITUTION: When the fork of a fork lift truck is driven to move up and down, the wire 2 of a fork position detecting device 1 is veered out from a rotary drum 3 or rewound around the rotary drum 3 due to the elastic force of a spiral spring 8, as a result, the rotary drum 3 is rotated, and the input shaft of a potentiometer 11 is rotated through the gear 120 fitted to a rotary shaft 4 and the gear 12 meshing with the gear 10. As a result, voltage signals corresponding to fork positions are output from the potentiometer 11. The voltage signals are transmitted to an external fork lift truck automatic control circuit through a cable G and connectors.
