Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass material capable of being bend for long time, having a form of glass material wound on a roll and a form of a ribbon-like glass in a range of 20 μm to 200 μm.SOLUTION: A glass material with a ribbon-like form in a range of 20 to 200 μm contains, by mass%, SiO:40 to 75%, AlO:1 to 25%, BO:0 to 16%, alkali earth metal oxide:0 to 30%, alkali metal oxide:0 to 20%, especially 0 to 2%, and has thickness of less than 500 μm, preferably 350 μm and minimum thickness of 3 μm, flexure radius R in a range of 1 mm to 10mm and residual failure probability Φ over storage term, maximum 5 years, represented by the number of failures N processing in time after the storage term of at least 300 days has passed of less than 0.01 for the glass bent in a range of 10 mm to 10mm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
