Abstract:
Conversion of a charge comprising a main heavy fraction of boiling point more than 350degreesC and a secondary fraction of boiling point less than 320degreesC by catalytic cracking in a fluidized bed, to obtain good yields of both propylene and petrol. Process for conversion of a charge made up of a main heavy hydrocarbon fraction of boiling point more than 350degreesC and a secondary light fraction of which the boiling point less than 320degreesC, in which: (a) The main charge (at least 50% wt. of the total charge) is cracked in a fluidized bed reactor in the presence of a catalyst; (b) The secondary charge is cracked in a fluidized bed with the same catalyst, separately or with the main charge; the secondary charge comprises 8C+ olefins obtained by oligomerization of 4 and/or 5C olefins; and (c) The effluents obtained are fractionated in a common fractionation zone and the catalysts are regenerated in a common regeneration zone.
