Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device, comprising a container defining an interior for receiving a nutritional composition, a plurality of particles within the interior of the container, and a lipase immobilized to the plurality of particles so that the nutritional composition is exposed to the lipase when the nutritional composition is received within the container, wherein the lipase is configured to hydrolyze long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid (LC-PUFA) triglycerides within the nutritional composition, and wherein the lipase is immobilized within the container such that when the nutritional composition exits the container, the lipase remains in the container.
