PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lock rotation of a single-phase motor even in a case where such a failure that the single-phase motor cannot be rotatably driven is generated.SOLUTION: A motor drive control device 10 according to an embodiment comprises: a detection target circuit that includes a drive circuit including an inverter circuit 16 for rotatably driving a motor 5, and a first controller 19 controlling an operation of the inverter circuit 16, and that is a detection target of such a failure that the motor 5 cannot be rotatably driven; and a brake circuit 20 that makes the inverter circuit 16 perform short-circuit braking of the motor 5 in a case where the failure is generated at the detection target circuit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
