Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet capture method and a packet capture system capable of analyzing a mirroring packet on the basis of time when mirroring is performed.SOLUTION: A switch device generates a mirror packet by performing mirroring to a packet flowing through a network, generates a time stamp packet including identification information for uniquely identifying the mirror packet and the time at which mirroring is performed, and transfers the time stamp packet and the mirror packet to a storage device. The storage device specifies the time stamp packet and the mirror packet including the same identification information respectively from the packet received from the switch device, and associates the time included in the specified time stamp packet and the specified mirror packet to store them in a memory device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
