Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door capable of appropriate control even when speed of movement exceeds a prescribed speed or when the sliding door is heavy.SOLUTION: A sliding door 2 includes an input tire 12, a clutch mechanism 15, a brake pad 34, and a brake device 10 comprising first and second transmission means 17A, 17B. The clutch mechanism 15 rotates along with rotation of the input tire 12 traveling on a rail 5, and is actuated when speed exceeds a prescribed speed when rotated in a clockwise or a counterclockwise direction, respectively. Each brake pad 34 is energized in a direction away from the rail 5. The first transmission means 17A connects the clutch mechanism 15 with the brake pad 34 such that the brake pad 34 is pressed against the rail 5 when the clutch mechanism 15 is actuated in the clockwise direction, and the second transmission means 17B connects the clutch mechanism 15 with the brake pad 34B such that the brake pad 34 is pressed against the rail 5 when the clutch mechanism 15 is actuated in the counterclockwise direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
