Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain images whose sharpness is made into an appropriate level, without performing a separate processing beforehand in the case that the sharpness of the image is not appropriate.
SOLUTION: In a computer system 10 provided with an image input device and also provided with an image output device, a printer driver 12c inputs source image data in a step ST102, then evaluates and sums up the sharpness of the image in the steps ST104-108, and if it is the image leaking sharpness based on the summed-up result in a step ST110, executes an interpolation processing for increasing the sharpness in a step ST114 and executes a normal interpolation processing in a step ST112, when it is a sharp image. Thus, the sharp image is attained through only the interpolation processing without making special selection of an operator an image processing for increasing the sharpness.
