Abstract:
To make a vehicle travel and stop at a speed according to a speed range for each traffic lane when abnormality occurs, in a vehicle control system executing automatic operation.SOLUTION: A vehicle system 2 includes: a control device 15 for conducting steering, acceleration and deceleration of a vehicle; and at least either an outside recognition device 6 for acquiring information of the outside of the vehicle, or a map device 9 retaining map information. When a predetermined condition under which continuance of traveling of the vehicle using the control device 15 or by a driver is difficult, is met during travel of the vehicle, the control device 15 executes stop processing for stopping the vehicle within a prescribed stop area. When changing traffic lanes to a lane side of a high speed range, the control device sets a higher upper limit value related to moving speed in a lateral direction, compared to when changing traffic lanes to a lane side of a low speed range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
