Abstract:
To provide a vehicle steering device configured to, in a steer-by-wire system, maintain a relation between a steering angle and a turning angle and appropriately restrict an upper limit of the turning angle.SOLUTION: In a steer-by-system, a steering angle sensor detects a steering angle θs of a steering wheel. A turning angle sensor detects a turning angle θt of a turning wheel. A turning actuator is controlled to generate the turning angle θt in accordance with the steering angle θs. A steering actuator is mechanically connected to the steering wheel to be controlled to apply reaction force torque Tr in a direction opposite from a steering direction to the steering wheel in accordance with the steering angle θs. A control unit controls driving of the turning actuator and the steering actuator. When a turning angle θt reaches a predetermined limit angle θduring steering, the control unit controls the turning actuator such that the turning angle θt do not exceed the limit angle θ, and controls the steering actuator such that an absolute value of the reaction force torque Tr increases to disturb steering by a driver.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
