Abstract:
To reduce noise which has relatively low frequency of equal to or less than 1 kHz that leaks from a gap between a housing and a floor surface of a washing machine.SOLUTION: A washing machine includes: an outer tub 10; an inner tub 8 which is a washing and dewatering tub provided in the outer tub 10 in a rotatable manner; a motor 13 for rotationally driving the inner tub 8; a housing 1 for storing the outer tub 10; a base 3 mounted at a lower part of the housing 1; and a muffler 101 arranged between the base 3 and the outer tub 10. The muffler 101 includes an opening part at one end and a closed part at the other end. The opening part is arranged on the base 3 side or the central side of the housing 1 with respect to the closed part, and the length between the opening part and the closed part is 1/4 of the noise wavelength, the cross sectional shape is a cylindrical or a rectangular shape, and the inside is hollow.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
