Abstract:

An abnormal-state braking system of an elevator, wherein an over-speed set level set to be reduced starting near the termination part of a hoistway toward the termination part is stored in a control device according to the position of a car. When the detected speed of the car exceeds the over-speed set level at the position of the car detected by an encoder, operation signals are outputted from the control device. The operation signals are inputted into a brake device or an emergency stop device for operation to urgently brake the car. A display for indicating the position of the car obtained by using information from the encoder and the value of the over-speed set level at the position of the car is electrically connected to the control device.
