Abstract:
An elevator apparatus, wherein an output part electrically detects the abnormality of an elevator and, when detecting an abnormality, outputs operation signals. The operation signals from the output part are inputted into an actuator part. A mechanical detection means mechanically detects the abnormality of the elevator and mechanically transmits an operation force to a braking member. When the operation signals are inputted into the actuator part, the braking member is operated for braking. When the abnormality is detected by the mechanical detection means, even if the operation signals are not inputted into the actuator part, the braking member is operated for braking by the operation force from the mechanical detection means.
