Abstract:
This absorbent article production method comprises: a first step (S1) for obtaining an absorber by covering, with a wrapping sheet, an absorbent core that contains a high-absorbent polymer and a fiber material; a second step (S2) for obtaining a laminate by disposing a liquid-permeable top sheet on a skin-facing-side surface of the absorber; and a third step (S3) for creating an indentation in a skin-facing-side surface of the laminate by passing the laminate between a pair of rolls so as to compress the absorber and the top sheet in the respective thickness directions. In the first step (S1), at a position corresponding to the indentation in the absorbent core, the contained amount of the high-absorbent polymer is set to 75-300 g/m2 while the contained amount of the fiber material is set to 75-250 g/m2. In the third step (S3), the clearance between the rolls is set to 0.1-0.5 mm, and the pressure to be applied to the laminate from the rolls is set to 1.2-2.0 MPa.
