Title:
METHOD FOR ESTIMATING BREAST CANCER CELL ABUNDANCE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/054782
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides improved accuracy of an index for estimating the efficacy of drug therapy for breast cancer. Specifically, provided is a method for estimating breast cancer cell abundance, the method comprising the following (1) and (2): (1) analyzing, in an human subject-derived sample, a methylation rate of: (a) a cytosine residue in a CG region comprising 1000th and 1001st nucleotides in a nucleotide sequence expressed by SEQ ID NO: 1; (b) a cytosine residue in a CG region comprising 1000th and 1001st nucleotides in a nucleotide sequence expressed by SEQ ID NO: 2; (c) a cytosine residue in a CG region comprising 1001st and 1002nd nucleotides in a nucleotide sequence expressed by SEQ ID NO: 3; or (d) a combination thereof; and (2) estimating, on the basis of the analyzed methylation rate, the breast cancer abundance in the human subject-derived sample.
